Greetings, fellow Internet traveller!

A Bit About Myself

I’m a Cloud Engineer from New Zealand working for Leaven NZ (part of the Spark Group). I love what I do and feel incredibly fortunate to work with the people I do.

My Background

My career has been short but full of great experiences and help from my colleagues, which I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside.

I started in 2019 with a Service Desk Engineer position at CCL, which allowed me to gain foundational IT experience. Working with a small but close-knit team, I grew in my knowledge and abilities but eventually felt like getting a new challenge.

At the start of 2020, I was offered a position internally on CCL’s Operations Team. Again, I worked with a team of highly experienced, extremely competent engineers - a small but very competent group. I gained valuable experience and learned a lot from my colleagues, giving me a solid foundation for the industry. I also got my Red Hat Certified Engineer certification at this time.

In November of 2021, I started an AWS Cloud Engineer Position at Leaven, Spark’s Cloud Transformation Business Unit. I’ve been working on an incredibly talented and capable team, learning a lot and gaining valuable experience. Working with AWS has taught me a new approach to systems infrastructure and development. Using it, in combination with my existing knowledge, allows me to help businesses along the journey of transforming their architecture from legacy, on-premises-only solutions to highly efficient, capable, and affordable solutions utilising the AWS Cloud.
